Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market. Manages a staff of managers.
As a manager in product marketing, you will be responsible for leading the development of company marketing specifications for specific product(s) or product line(s). Manage marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan to meet company objectives. Monitor the development of business plans and business results of e-marketing. Manage lifecycles and product positioning in the market place. Identify customer needs, oversee market research, and monitor the market trends/competitive landscape. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns. Act as a technical advisor for specific product(s). Initiate and foster relationships with development, sales, and other groups to develop new products or enhance functionality of existing product(s) or product line(s). Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. In-depth knowledge of the computer industry, database and development technology and markets. Extensive marketing analysis experience. BA/BS degree. MBA preferred.

As Director of Product Marketing, you will own & lead a team to deliver on the global product marketing strategy for a significant portion of our CX portfolio. This product marketing leader within the Oracle Cloud CX Product Marketing team is tasked with driving marketing and sales enablement for core Oracle CX solutions –Sales, Commerce, CPQ, Service and Field Service. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of product marketers tasked with the development of global sales plays, top-of-funnel messaging and associated content in support of field sellers and global marketing programs. This role will also be responsible for developing the overall go-to-market messaging across our entire Customer Experience portfolio at Oracle. We are looking for an experienced product marketer to help bring this story to life. This is not a story about products, it is a story about our customers, the challenges they are faced with today and how Oracle Cloud CX can help them retain and grow their customers. If you are passionate at describing product features or giving compelling technical product demo’s, then this job is probably not for you.
Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally is a daily requirement for success in this role. Working closely with the product, marketing and sales organizations, the ability to develop and articulate differentiated messaging consistently across sales and marketing channels is paramount.
Develop and recommend strategic global marketing plans for your area of responsibility plans.
Create market-facing positioning and messaging that differentiates Oracle CX solutions and products in the market
Create market-facing messaging that tells Oracle’s “CX” story
Develop scalable messaging frameworks that ensure consistency and clarity of message across the Cloud CX portfolio
Work closely with product organization to align top level market messages with detailed product positioning
Apply the latest storytelling techniques to bring the messaging to life on the web, in print and on stage
Work closely with the other product marketers in the development of highly differentiating sales plays and enable global field sellers to successfully execute them
Work closely with our CX marketing teams to deliver messaging and marketing content to enable effective demand generation campaigns
Be a spokesperson for media & analysts within your areas of expertise
Ensure product innovations are effectively communicated to the market on a quarterly basis
Present strategies and plans frequently to marketing & product leadership.
Frequently present to customers and prospects in your product areas including conferences, online events and customer visits.
8 year’s experience in a product marketing role focused on value-based messaging
6 years of successful management experience, leading teams of product marketers
Product Marketing in a technology company with demonstrated success in launching winning products in the cloud
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated success in working across teams to listen, consolidate and make decisions is critical
Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced organization and un-phased by ambiguity and competing priorities
MBA or Bachelor’s degree in business or technology field
Willing to travel up to 20%
