Oracle Product Manager - Analytics & Insights (JoinOCI) in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

We are specifically looking for a Product Manager to join the Technical Operations & Support Analytics (TOS Analytics) team. The team is dedicated to providing accurate data and partnering with teams to help them discover actionable narratives in their data; both by describing the past and predicting the future.

In this role, you will:

  • Define, develop, and manage the product definition and roadmap for the TOS Analytics team

  • Drive product adoption and usage by creating well defined end-to-end solutions that solve specific customer challenges

  • Partner with Technical Operations and Customer Support leaders to clearly define long and short term roadmap items and how analytics will enable those items to drive customer experience

  • Define personas, journey maps, pain points, and solutions to incrementally improve usability, experience, and customer satisfaction

  • Benchmark current performance and forecast improvements based on your product roadmap

  • Manage various programs with multiple teams to deliver, publish, implement and improve the solutions

  • Run effective beta programs with various teams to collect continuous feedback

  • Lead and influence engineering teams to invest and iterate on the right product features.

  • Present to internal stakeholders, senior leaders, and internal partners.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of experience in any of the following areas: Analytics, Business Intelligence, Visualization, and/or Big Data

  • 4-8 years of enterprise technical or product management experience

  • Demonstrable work experience with concepts/technologies

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results

  • Flexibility and comfort with ambiguous product decisions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Experience building value propositions, product/service roadmaps, messaging, and guidance for the internal/external stakeholders, leadership, and engineering teams

  • Extensive product-level experience with Cloud services and database experience a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters or MBA preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on capabilities to run moderate to complex SQL queries to do ad-hoc analysis

  • Strong understanding of Customer Support or Technical Operations environment within a Cloud Services company

  • Strong understanding of data governance models

  • Background in data quality
