Philips Product Industrialization Engineer in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Product Industrialization Engineer at Philips Ultrasound will lead the development of high intellectual property transducer projects in a vertically integrated manufacturing environment.

The Ultrasound Product Industrialization team, based in Cambridge, MA & Reedsville PA, and Shanghai China consists of engineers, managers, and technicians who work collaboratively to produce the best Ultrasound transducers in the industry. This team interacts with local, national, and international teams to support and develop a wide range of ultrasound products.

The fast-paced environment places emphasis on a first-time right approach, as such in-depth knowledge of product design, root-cause analysis and regulatory compliance is required.

In this role, you are responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively with R&D to lead cross-functional engineering teams to bring cutting edge Ultrasound transducer products into production with solid business results and high quality

  • Using platform manufacturing techniques to leverage existing architectures to ensure new products are highly manufacturable

  • Mentoring junior engineers on transducer process development, continuous improvement, and problem solving

  • Partnering with R&D on Platform Development roadmap in collaboration with Product roadmaps

  • Working with key equipment suppliers to drive greater process capabilities and productivity

You're the right fit if you have a customer-first attitude and the following:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering is required. A degree in Business or equivalent experience is a strong plus

  • 10+ years of experience developing and transitioning medical products from R&D into production. Production Operations experience is a strong plus

  • Significant experience in manufacturing process development and statistical engineering tools is required

  • Demonstrated experience with the validation, documentation, and manufacture of medical devices is a plus

  • Very strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively across the entire organization.

  • Strong team leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects

  • Proven experience as a People Manager is a strong plus

  • Proven and demonstrated problem solving skills are required

  • Green belt/black belt certification is a plus.
