At the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR) we are reimagining medicine using science-based innovation. The ADME In-Vitro team is looking for a Scientist with a mixed role of coordinating laboratory work and project representation of the discipline.

What you’ll be doing:

In this role you will actively participate in multi-disciplinary project teams by providing ADME expert input and guidance for DDI-related questions encountered during the drug discovery and development stages.

You will assist in developing new in-vitro assays/models for enzyme/transporter inhibition and phenotyping with improved predictive power. Adapt the assay portfolio to the evolving needs of the organization and schedule/monitor studies performed at CROs.

You will also develop a compilation of technical documents, study reports, and documents in support of regulatory submissions.

What you will bring to the role:

Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Bioengineering or equivalent

5 plus years of experience in ADME, particularly in the translational aspects.

An understanding of drug metabolism, drug transport, drug-drug interactions, and pharmacokinetics principles.

Working knowledge of general laboratory techniques used in the ADME in-vitro field including LCMS and handling radioactivity.

Experience conducting and coordinating studies at CROs is desirable.

You will work independently, be capable of providing expert technical/scientific assistance on projects and provide assistance with health authority interactions. Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
