The BBN Finance team is a diverse group of individuals with a robust mix of skills and experiences collaborating across the organization to influence optimal business decisions and achieve predictable results. This is an opportunity to join the BBN Technologies Finance team in support of the Network & Cyber Technologies (NCT) Business Unit with a portfolio of innovative research programs bringing advanced solutions to our customers. The selected candidate will be accountable for providing financial leadership to the execution and continued growth of NCT.

What you will do:

Coordinate the execution of the monthly sales forecast process, development of annual operating plans and development of the five-year strategic plan for business areas within NCT

Apply your financial and analytical skills in an energetic, fast paced, and collaborative environment

Exciting opportunity to be a strategic business advisor who will partner with business leaders and other functions within the organization to execute and assess performance against their business strategy

Provide effective communication of key financial metrics and lead the development of Estimates at Complete (EAC).

Provide effective, timely, and accurate reporting, forecasting, and analysis to NCT, BBN Leadership and external customers.

Support startup and execution of various Cost-type, Fixed Price, and T&M contracts utilizing RTX financial systems.

Engage in every aspect of a program’s life cycle, strategic planning, budgeting, proposals and reporting.

Exhibit a leadership quality that entails facilitation, collaboration, and influential communication

Mentor, train, and collaborate with entry level financial analysts

What you need:

SAP Experience (APEX, PRISM, BW)

Professional experience with Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word)

5+ years applicable experience including program controls, program scheduling, cash management, and financial planning and reporting.

Advanced degree in related field with 3 or more years of related experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration

Expert in Microsoft Excel; especially looking for Power Query and PowerPivot experience.

US citizenship

Ability to meet critical deadlines

Independent, proactive, and self-motivated

Takes the initiative to address issues before they become problems and actively advises business leaders & partners.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced work environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Skills that would be a Plus:

Working knowledge of EVMS

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and O365

Basic level education or experience using a data analytics language such as Python, R, STATA, SAS, MATLAB, or similar language.

Familiarity with database query and visualization tools such as Power BI, AWS dashboards, Tableau, or SQL.

Willingness to apply for US government security clearance

Prior experience working in a government contracting environment.

Finance experience with Research and Development projects.

Working towards an advanced degree desired
