POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Mechanical Engineering, to work on the design, manufacturing, and control for an automated sugarcane production project. The project is a multidisciplinary and will require collaboration with other scientists and engineers.
REQUIRED: a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field; a strong track record of academic publications; research experience with design, manufacturing, and control; hands on experience with robotic hardware in a field environment; proficiency with design software using SolidWorks, 3-D printing software, etc.; software engineering proficiency using C/C++, OpenCV, MATLAB, etc.; knowledge of machining; experience with Linux and development on Linux systems; and proven system integration and software architecture skills.
