MERCHANT SERVICES ASSOCIATE, Office of the Vice President for Finance (VPF), to act as the first point of contact for VPF’s Merchant Services area and serve as the credit card administrator, providing support to entities within MIT who use credit cards to collect payments. The position will involve significant customer service activity and working both with a wide variety of departments across the Institute and with external partners, including banks, e-commerce credit card payment and security companies, and other financial institutions. REQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent; five years of experience in banking/finance/credit card administration and at least two delivering customer service; demonstrated ability to work with internal constituents and with external clients; willingness to make frequent visits to campus departments, labs, and centers; discretion and judgment with confidential information; excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills; ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple duties, and meet deadlines; and knowledge of software applications including SAP, Request Tracker, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Seek a proactive, results-driven individual who can demonstrate individual accountability for personal and organizational objectives.
