The Advertiser Analytics and Insights Group is seeking a Manager, Advertiser & Audience Analytics (AAL Manager) with digital advertising experience who can bring out the best in their people, empowering them to achieve team and organizational priorities. The AAL Manager will manage a cross-vertical team of Audience Analytical Leads (AALs), focused on delivering success through enablement and accountability, and by modeling Microsoft’s values and leadership principles. The AAL Manager will enable the creation of thought-leading insights to shape business strategy and drive tactical outcomes across a portfolio of top brands, functionally leading the team to create an omni-channel strategy focused on evolving the next-generation of our data-driven business model. In this role, the AAL Manager will combine their technical acumen and knowledge of the digital marketing landscape with an infectious sense of energy, enabling their team to create and employ sophisticated analytical techniques, resulting in the creation of compelling data narratives that influences decision-makers through story-telling, value-selling and unique visualizations.

The AAL Manager will also demonstrate a people-first attitude and collaborate across partner and stakeholder groups, balancing strategic thinking with customer obsession and a passion for innovation. Creating and shaping a roadmap and vision that enables the delivery and measurement of exceptional results over time horizons through their team will be a core functional remit for this role.

  • Analytical Insights Expert: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the data available within the Microsoft product stack and curate across internal and external sources to enable your team to produce sophisticated and impactful analyses. Champion the use of innovative analytical models, data visualizations to incubate/prototype new and compelling narratives that identify and highlight unique multi-channel value in support of advertiser campaign strategies.

  • Trusted Data Advisor: Immerse yourself in the trends and unique consumer behaviors that impact your customer portfolio and apply that expertise to enable your team’s analyses. Be an ambassador of Microsoft’s customer-first approach by anticipating and solutioning data challenges, and leverage that earned trust to drive increased investmentacross Microsoft Advertising.

  • Management and exectuion excellence : Commit to operational excellence through processes that team owns and contributes to, including but not limited to, team meetings, the rhythm of business, budget management, adherence to and compliance with policies, etc. Drive utilization of internal tools to enable analytical sophistication, aligned to client needs.

  • Analytics Sell-Through : Consult and partner with internal partners and sales stakeholders to build comprehensive and compelling narratives, and directly participate in analytical value-selling through client engagements.Enable your team to be the analytics and cross-channel expert in the room by highlighting insights from data, tackling challenging client questions with credibility and positivity. Influence client decision-makers and their analytics teams to drive sell-through of identified opportunities.


Qualification s :

  • 5+ years of demonstrated expertise and experience in a partner or account management/client service/client-facing role in digital media.

  • 3+ years experience and proficiency using PowerBI/Tableau, DAX, SQL for data manipulation and visualization. Proficiency and familiarity in any combination of the following is ideal: Python, R, C#, PowerPivot, Primary Research methods, Data Privacy & Governance.

  • 2 or more years of people management experience, with a knack for recognizing diverse work styles and coaching high-performing individual contributors.

  • Hands on experience creating data visualizations, using analytical toolkits and/or writing code to turn dynamic datasets into actionable insights.

  • Ability to manage a diverse, senior analytical team, across multiple verticals/industries.

  • Exceptional and proven capacity to consume large amounts of information, communicate with simplicity and derive business outcomes with agile decision making.

  • Dynamic and creative problem-solving skills, with a passion for innovation, relationships, and an ability to think out of the box.

  • High-degree of comfort working in an agile and constantly-evolving environment while thriving amid ambiguity. Ability to find and create opportunities in a mixed-agenda business setting is highly desirable.

  • Solid knowledge of the advertising industry, trends, clients’ needs, Microsoft’s strategy and how they work together.

  • Eventual ability to travel 35% (air travel may be required), as appropriate.
