The CDO Industry Team, part of the Microsoft US Chief Digital Officer (MSUS CDO) Organization, is accountable for leveraging deep industry and technical expertise to enable sales teams and partners to deliver relevant, customized industry solutions and services, built on a secure, integrated cloud platform, to empower our customers to digitally transform their businesses. The Industry Business Leader role is leadingindustry digital transformationengagements andopportunitieswith Microsoft’s customers, through deep industry knowledge and experience.
This is a manager role that is operating at a strategic level across Microsoft’s Enterprise and Public Sector segments. The role is to land strategy and drive field and customer motions aimed at driving results this fiscal year and beyond.
The role of an Industry Business Leader is to:
Manage a team of Industry Executives to land industry solutions in selected industries
Partner closely with US Marketing &Operation, and WW industry solutions & engineering teams at Corpto localize and land sales plays
Partner closely with theworld-wideindustry sales teams and specialist sellers to share best practices and customer references/case studies to bring Microsoft’s industry digital transformation stories to life.
Identify key ISV movers & shakers in the region that support Industry Solutions and handover recruit motions to OCP.
Engage with customers as needed, but not assigned specific accounts.
Participate in regional sale enablement events to drive the industry strategy and solutions and sales plays landing.
Provide input & insights to the WW industry solutions & engineering teams at Corp on what industry specificities exist for the region – both in terms of customer needs and partner solutions available.
Drive training of our account executives in industry competence by leveraging external business network.
Overall Objective: Drive Microsoft cloud services growth through industry focused solutions (Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365)
Achieving targeted annual growth for respective industries across Strategic and Mainstream Enterprise segments for US
Driving scale of industry sales plays by educating and landing industry strategy scenarios, solutions and sales plays with regional industry sales community and regional field leaders.
Nurtures relationships with top industry partners in region.
Enrich and evolve our people and capabilities. Attract, grow and retain talent base as #1 organizational asset. Foster and enrich a healthy work environment and ensure line of sight on Microsoft strategies for all employees.
Maintain a pipeline of top talent and continuously develop high potential talent within the team. Promote hiring best practices which optimize for diversity.
Measured on 3 cloud revenue for industry in region, customer references and partner co-sell wins.
Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:
10+ years Industry domain expertise and expertise working in Sales, marketing, business strategy or program managementroles
10+ years of related experience: Sales leadership roles, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, coaching solution sales and account development strategies, leadership roles in multi-tiered global organizations, selling and delivering complex solutions to enterprise customers
Strong leadership & interpersonal skills, coaching skills, cross-group collaboration and proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries
Talent attractor: Proven history attracting and developing new leaders.
Proven track record and experience leading large scale organizational transformations while delivering on long- and short-term results.
Demonstrated experience and expertise in landing scaled programs and initiatives across organizational boundaries
Strategic leadership with track record driving results faster than competition in new markets/solution areas (preferred: cloud services growth and consumption).
Strong executive presence and presentation skills.
Bachelor'sdegree or equivalent required.
