Sanofi Group Head of R&D Data-Driven Portfolio in Cambridge, Massachusetts
The Head of R&D Data-Driven Portfolio is a critical role to effectively manage R&D data-driven programs and priorities, facilitate the global governance and work across the Digital R&D team, extended Digital and COE teams, and R&D business to deliver the roadmap. This role will be key to ensure the delivery of results at scale.
The Head of R&D Data-Driven Portfolio role includes:
components of strategy (understanding and translation of the Digital R&D data and analytics vision and priorities into results)
white space thinking (setting bold ambition, new ways of working)
facilitation (enabling programs to operate with consistency and getting to decision and action faster)
communication (clear communications to lay audiences of Digital topics, roadmaps, objectives, KPIs and progress)
execution (agile pod frameworks to deliver value for R&D end-users).
The portfolio of work encompasses Pharma research, Vaccines Research, mRNA, CMC, Clinical, and R&D pipeline portfolio management.
Coordinate the data-driven portfolio to support best practices, decision making and delivery of value
Support development and execution of the R&D data-driven strategy and roadmap through monitoring of progress and related KPIs and work with key stakeholders to support delivery
Communicate (written, oral) the strategy to achieve our bold ambition supported by new ways of working and progress executed against the strategy tracked via value-generated KPIs
Drive the R&D data and analytics agenda in line with the company strategic priorities
Ensure the roadmap is on track and aligned with the evolving priorities and input of the Digital and R&D organization
Coordinate preparatory work and briefing materials for key meetings
Facilitate best-practices across the R&D work supporting smooth operations of program evolution from building MVPs to scaled industrialization with long-term support engaged
Collaborate with the Digital teams, COEs, other GBUs/Corporate Functions to share information, identify synergies, leverage best practices and to anticipate future topics and future needs Digital R&D strategy
Leverage and engage resources across the organization to ensure R&D data-driven priorities are delivered
Key Qualifications and Competencies
Degree in Engineering or Data Engineering (our candidate has a BS in Electronics Engineering)
15+ years of exp as a Data Engineer, Data Architect or Data PlatformsDemonstrated R&D data & analytics consulting experience (Strategic Thinker).
Demonstrated techno functional data capabilities (data engineering, data science, architecture, cloud, data visualization). Application to R&D topics preferred.
Demonstrated experience operationalizing strategic Digital programs/projects.
Ability to work cross-functionally, strong team player
Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical and strategic capabilities
