Sanofi Group Head of Finance , Rare Disease in Cambridge, Massachusetts

This position is the Lead Finance Business Partner for the US Rare Disease General Manger, reporting directly to the Head of NA Rare Disease & Rare Blood Disorders Finance. This position will be responsible and accountable for managing the US Rare Disease P&L. This role serves as a member of the US Rare Disease Business Unit Leadership team

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

·Provide financial guidance and direction to the US Rare Disease Sales & Marketing teams in achieving Net Revenues and BOI targets

·Manage and oversee all aspects of US Rare Disease day-to-day financial operations, ensuring activities are prioritized as necessary and appropriate resourcing/coverage is provided for key areas

·Review and evaluate business tactical plans and provide feedback based on alignment to overall Business Unit or Product Strategies, as appropriate

·Lead and support Rare Disease Business Unit through business reviews, long-range plan, and budget processes

·Ensure all corporate finance and SGZ finance due dates and deliverables are met timely and in compliance with corporate requirements (close, forecast, budget, LRP, other)

·Collaborate with Sanofi One-Finance teams to share and implement best practices to drive process improvements

·Coordinate with internal stakeholders across Sales & Marketing, Market Access, Business Operations, etc. to anticipate impacts to the Business Unit P&L

·On a monthly basis, provide insightful reporting and variance commentary for performance updates and present at US Rare Disease leadership team meetings

·Develop monthly sales trend for Rare Disease brands, with close coordination with Commercial Team and Forecasting; Continuous monitoring of the trend to alert for variances and for monthly landings

·On a quarterly basis, prepare and report full P&L landing for US Rare Disease

·Actively monitor risks & opportunities on an ongoing basis

·Support financial system upgrades and implementations

Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with an area of specialization in Accounting or Finance is required. MBA and/or CPA is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of diversified financial/accounting experience is required. Experience with Gross-to-Net reporting and analysis is required. Strong to advanced excel skills…must be able to download data and use pivot tables, V-look ups, macros is required. This position may require up to 10% overall travel.
