About the Role:
As a CBRE Hard Services/Operations Management Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team responsible for planning, managing, and directing business operations for a small to medium sized client or region.
Hard Services include the physical materials and structure of a building, such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety equipment.
This job is part of the Operations Management job function. They will be leading and coordinating staff functions and operations that support the organization’s goals and strategies.
What You'll Do:
Provide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Coordinate the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department goals. Mentor and coach as needed.
Prepare ad hoc data reports for revenue, expenses, and other business metrics. Evaluate trends to find opportunities to improve financial performance. Manage the monthly forecasting process for assigned clients or regions.
Ensure compliance with company policy, business and professional licensing, real estate law, and state, and federal guidelines.
Maintain data integrity across systems used by the team.
Partner with regional teams and departments to identify and implement organizational standard processes.
Assist with the development of training programs, business processes, and system training programs.
Facilitate the communication of policies, procedures, and initiatives to create consistency across the region.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
Apply knowledge of operational programs and how to integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of proven experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Prior experience working on HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Boilers, Heating, etc is needed.
Refrigeration License is required.
Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
