About the role – FSI Cloud Solutions Director
You will collaborate deeply with the Financial Services + Insurance Industry team, Service Line, and Digital Advisors to shape industry strategies and empower digital transformation. You will work just as deeply with industry engineering product groups to advocate for customers and partners in relevant product strategy and prioritization. Similarly, you will also work closely with Industry Marketing and field teams on go-to-market motions.
This role requires deep understanding of the Financial Services industry, technical confidence and experience collecting customer requirements and building products. You will be the first point of contact for our field teams and select strategic customers for Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services solutions. You will also be accountable for shared OKRs between Industry Solutions, Industry Marketing, and Industry engineering teams.
You are a strong cross-functional team leader who drives action and alignment by cultivating relationships with senior management and managing across functional teams. Critical skills include the ability to identify new market opportunities, models, and solution gaps; amplify customer voice into decision-making, articulate business value and outcomes; and build strategies around market requirements, as well as the proven ability to translate all of that to influence engineering roadmap commitments.
You will bring deep understanding and expertise in digital transformation opportunities across FSI, supported by thought leadership in advanced technologies like connected apps, predictive analytics, machine learning, data management, and other solutions and capabilities with a particular focus on digital transformation.
Develop scalable, deployable, reusable, and relevant field enablement technical assets to accelerate customer and partner industry cloud adoption including industry solution kits, conceptual architectures, narratives, and FAQs.
Converge teams on Industry Solution priorities.Drive evangelism and adoption of highest priority FSI industry use cases with field sellers and global system integrators.
Engage and drive a cross-team governance process that represents the needs of Industry Solutions, customers, and the field, effectively liaising with engineering, marketing, and other corporate functions to problem-solve and develop innovative new strategies and programs.
Be a first point of contact for our field teams, industry marketing, and select strategic customers for Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services.
Exhibit deep customer and partner empathy to ground all industry teams on the “what” and the “why” of Industry Solutions.
Work closely with the Industry Regional Business Leaders to understand the requirements in their market, to ensure our industry clouds deliver real customer value.
Capture the voice of customers and partners to validate engineering roadmap and strategic thinking, by both identifying scalable listening systems and by directly engaging with customers and ecosystem partners.
Work with both internal and external implementation partners as a primary point of contact to support early customer and partner deployments of Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services functionality.
Demonstrate thought leadership in industry as Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services cloud product expert.
Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events, as needed.
10+ years’ experience in business, sales, services, product, and/or consulting roles.
5+ technical expertise in Financial Services solution areas, including experience in engineering and/or product management/solution development.
Experienced in managing cross-functional teams without authority.
Proven ability to contribute to a healthy team culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging, and collaboration.
Structured strategic systems thinking experience.
Location/Travel: You may be based anywhere in the United States. You can expect limited global travel, 0 – 25%.

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $166,000 and $243.000.
At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
