Philips Finance Senior Manager - NAM in Cambridge, Massachusetts

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Contribute to the North America (NAM) Market Finance team in a variety of ways. The intent of this role is to build a talent pipeline for the Zone Finance Business Partner team and the Business Market Finance BP team. You may have the opportunity to contribute to both teams or perform a stint with one team and then shift to the other. This will be an outstanding growth opportunity for candidates with aspirations of eventually becoming a Director.

You are responsible for

  • Assisting in financial planning and month end review processes for the Zone (Latest view, Quarterly Forecast and Month End).

  • Supporting Zone Finance Directors in strategy development with financial analysis, strategy modeling and portfolio management.

  • Driving headcount consolidation reporting across the Zones.

  • Managing inquiries from Zone Finance Directors using the Customer Profitability tool.

  • Assisting in developing customer facing deal proposals which meet the current and strategic goals of the business.

  • Contributing to the success of the NPI2C program.

  • Engaging with the Accounts Receivable and local account sales teams as needed to help drive improved collections performance.

  • Supporting financial and business controls and helping ensure they are followed in all aspects of business in the Zones. Includes interactions with Legal on MFA and Sunshine Act compliance. Further with AIC to assure revenue recognition is treated properly.

  • Supporting geographical promos as needed with financial analysis and insights.

  • Helping identify areas of opportunity and continually driving for their achievement.

  • Participating with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Making final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensuring effective achievement of objectives.

  • Participating in or lead strategic project(s) that have significant impact and visibility within the market.

  • As skills and knowledge grow, there could be an opportunity to provide coverage for a Zone Finance Director.

You are a part of

The Zone Finance Business Partner team. You will initially report to the U.S. Market Finance Senior Director and BP for Sales. You will support the Zone Finance team with various responsibilities and will have the opportunity to learn the day to day aspects of the Zone Finance Director role. This role will come with significant exposure to sales and other functional leadership within the market. There will also be opportunities to lead or participate in critical projects that will have significant impacts on the market.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience, MBA preferred.

  • Solid basis and experience in Accounting, Internal Control and Planning.

  • The ability to collaborate and partner across multiple functions to speed up execution.

  • Business curiosity and eagerness to understand how other functions/stakeholder drive an overall successful sales organization.

  • Using skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills. Ability to influence senior level leaders.

  • Problem solving and creativity.
