Position Description
The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences ( SEAS ) seeks a talented, creative, and enthusiastic individual to help design, build, and support life-changing technologies for rehabilitation and human performance enhancement. This Fellow will contribute to the design and fabrication of electromechanical assemblies, help teams test prototypes for functionality and usability with target audiences, and contribute to program planning and promotion.
Basic Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical, electrical engineering or a related filed and 2 years of experience in product development and/or research. Advanced education may count toward experience.
Additional Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following additional qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills, creativity in problem solving, and high self-motivation are key to performing effectively in this position. Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks. Basic working knowledge of EE and hands-on experience with electromechanical devices (motors, microcontrollers, sensors) and electrical assembly hand skills is highly preferred. Demonstrated competence in generating technical documentation such as lab procedures, protocols, and reports. Ability and willingness to tackle multiple projects simultaneously.
