This role is to provide world class media expertise to deliver brand communications that promote a superior customer experience and drive business results. The Director, Media Strategy and Planning will lead media planning and buying for consumer and professional target segments for DUPIXENT. The position will ensure plans deliver upon brand marketing objectives and generate high value (ROI and engagement). The position will leverage investments across the Business Unit to drive franchise coordination and efficiencies across all indications.

Responsibilities:
Manage and guide colleague within DUPIXENT media team
Serve as the subject matter expert and thought leader in all media – providing expertise in media channels, technologies and approaches (direct response, general awareness) across all phases of media planning and buying
Serve as the ongoing link between brand marketers, procurement and the media agency, from planning through tactical execution & optimizations
Lead discovery: competitive landscape, target usage & consumption habits, customer insights, etc.
Lead development of media strategies and tactics that align to brand strategic imperatives
Lead external media agency
Drive development of campaign-level scopes of work from media agency
Lead and manage media buying process across all media channels
Provide consistent media campaign/channel performance readouts to business stakeholders
Co-lead and execute optimization recommendations of existing performance dashboard to ensure media performance insights are readily identifiable
Lead oversight of all aspects of media investment: budget management & reporting, invoice & billing reconciliation, etc.
Drive media campaign and/or channel troubleshooting
Establish and share media best practices and benchmarks across BU; highlighting opportunities to test, learn and optimize/evolve based on knowledge of customer insights, competitive media initiatives, new channels and/or offerings by channel
Basic Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 8-10+ years US integrated media planning experience.
Preferred:
At least 2 years pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred, but not required.
Critical Skills:
Proven ability to develop and manage paid media plans that meet/exceed business objectives
Deep understanding of the evolving media landscape and ability to interpret and apply understanding back to specific brand strategies to yield the greatest possible impact on business performance
Ability to identify innovative tactics, drive strategic use of media and optimize media investments to ensure delivery against goals
Deep understanding of media principles and experience working at or with media agencies
Experience managing media agencies
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with proven success at advancing initiatives across organizational priorities
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage against business demands across a portfolio of brand/product needs
Ability to collaborate effectively and cooperate transversally across stakeholders including, brand marketers, advanced analytics, market research, etc.
Skilled presenter, collaborator and negotiator
Proven ability to work in matrix organizations and with Alliance partners
Hands on leader, willing to roll up their sleeves and move projects and teams quickly towards achieving milestones
Eye towards innovation and passion for selling, planning and implementing new approaches
