Microsoft Corporation Director Business Management. US National Solutions Organization in Cambridge, Massachusetts

As the Director Business Management in the National Solutions team (NSO) you will report to Jason Ford, US National Solutions Lead and be a key member of the US National Solutions Leadership Team. This cross-functional role is responsible for driving the business management functions to ensure successful operations of the US NSO Team. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the Microsoft United States (MSUS) organization to drive the successful implementation of key programs, tools, and processes across NSO support communities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as chief of staff/operations for the NSO, directing and coordinating the efforts of sales excellence, finance, and executive administration. Work with counterparts across US subsidiary MSUS and Worldwide Commercial Business (WCB) to ensure alignment of NSO & MSUS execution strategies.

  • Manage NSO Rhythm of the Business (ROB) with focus on Revenue attainment, Scorecard, Consumption, and cost management. Lead and organize NSO participation in key leadership Business Reviews.

  • Lead and orchestrate annual NSO business planning effort. Field leadership and support of our key sales processes and tools. Lead in the design of strategic projects as needed to improve NSO operating results.

  • Drive the effectiveness and impact of Leadership Team (LT) meetings, offsite managers meetings and keynote presentations. This includes content development and leadership in execution. Drive NSO strategic communications (internal/external), including customer communications, team portal, all-hands calls, wins, sales programs, etc.

  • Strong integration with stakeholders to drive key product/GTM initiatives and gather competitive insights; Integrate measures and reports in the ROB that enforce disciplined sales processes.

  • Develop and manage the annual budgeting process for the upcoming year Administer and manage the budget setting process for the NSO.

  • Ensure well-executed sales optimization and productivity strategies Introduce or formulate sales incentive strategies that promote strategic goal achievement.

  • Introduce and implement effective strategic change management methods for programs and initiatives.

  • Drive alignment between the Sales, Services, Marketing and Partner organizations

Qualifications

To win this role, you will bring the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a sales, marketing and/or operations professional is required.

  • A solid understanding of Enterprise field sales organization roles/orchestration, solution selling process and reporting tools.

  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills with ability to build positive working relationships across senior leadership teams.

  • Extremely strong written & verbal skills - strategic communication experience a plus

  • Demonstrated project management and cross-group collaboration skills and the ability to drive results through influence without authority.

  • Adaptability, flexibility, dealing with ambiguity, and ability to operate under tight deadlines with minimal direction.

  • Strong analytical orientation and strategic analysis abilities

  • Motivated, self-starter who is willing to tackle tough problems to help achieve the growth targets and strategic initiatives/big bets.

  • Strong technical depth of our products and solutions a plus

Location/Travel: You may be based anywhere in the U.S and can expect travel to be less than 20%, contingent upon Covid-19 restrictions.
