Forrester Digital Strategy Specialist in Cambridge, Massachusetts

It starts with an insatiable curiosity about clients, colleagues, and the future. At Forrester, we believe curiosity powers progress. Forresterites bring a diversity of opinions and the courage of their convictions to collaborate on the ideas and initiatives that change the course of business. As a trusted advisor to the most influential companies in the world, we live at the nexus of what’s next. Our purpose is to imagine the possibilities of change. Our job is to be bold at work.

About This Role:

As a Digital Strategist on the digital strategy and production team, you will support informing Forrester’s digital experience — how our clients and employees engage with our product offering through digital channels. Through your analysis, you will help shape the future of our offering.

As a Digital Strategist, you will work closely with leaders in the digital strategy and product team, supporting a diverse range of strategic inputs and operations. You will also interact with other Forrester teams — such as research, customer success, marketing, and technology platform management — to create a high-value digital experience.

  • Support the digital strategy and product team through research, data analysis, insight development, reporting, and communication to improve clients’ engagement with Forrester through digital channels.

  • Support the creation of models to map digital engagement to goals. This includes model design within Excel, business case assumption vetting, internal data gathering and cleansing, and scenario testing to inform the team’s ability to meet business goals. The Digital Strategist will own the model creation, data population, and scenario execution.

  • Help design and execute an internal agenda to inform the digital experience. This includes internal research in the form of interviews and surveys to inform digital user personas, channel strategy, content strategy, digital experience requirements, macro journeys, digital style driver, and an innovation agenda. This also includes the communication of guidance and requirements to internal stakeholders. The Digital Strategist will own specific projects, including insight development and reporting.

  • Support the stand-up and operation of a digital analytics engine, including data gathering and integration, dashboard design, insight identification, and communication.

  • Support the team in change management efforts, including coaching and communications: help craft communication and spot training programs, draft communications, and facilitate organizational feedback and questions. The efforts of the digital strategy and production team drive significant change that must be vetted, internalized, and communicated.

  • BA/BS degree, with a strong academic record.

  • Two to three years of work experience, preferably in a role that required strong data, project management, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.

  • Fluency and comfort with data, including demonstrated experience in generating hypotheses, identifying data inputs, identifying insights, manipulating and presenting data, and designing experiments.

  • Curiosity and inquisitiveness around our customers and our business, with the ability to ask constructive questions of clients and all levels of colleagues to unearth insights and move efforts forward.

  • The ability to multitask, juggling multiple responsibilities with less oversight.

  • Strong follow-through on assigned tasks.

  • The ability to work independently and own projects and programs with self-direction, soliciting feedback and support when needed.

  • Excellent collaboration skills — the ability to work with diverse teams with diverse personalities to influence a common goal.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize key points quickly and concisely, both in written and presentation modes.

  • Strong entrepreneurial skills and willingness to try new methods; work outside your comfort zone; and contribute to the team in creative, anticipatory ways.

  • Eagerness to develop strategic analysis and thinking.

  • Passion for research and the role it plays in our client’s success.

  • Understanding of the basic research process.

  • Passion for digital and the possibilities it offers Forrester for the future.
