Must be comfortable engaging high-powered alumni and faculty with poise and self-confidence. Independent decision-making is critical to the role.
Outstanding project management, analytical and organizational skills required including a keen attention to detail and ability to deliver on time while balancing multiple priorities.
Good judgment, flexibility, customer-service orientation and positive team attitude are critical to success in this role.
Additional Information:The anticipated start date for this position is 10/04/21. This position is approved as a term appointment with an end date of 04/30/22.

Explore more about HBS work culture here.Department:External RelationsPre-Employment Screening:Education, IdentityJob Function:Alumni Affairs and Development Job-Specific Responsibilities:Reporting to the Director of Alumni Clubs and Associations, the Assistant Director will be a key member of the Clubs Team, which oversees a global network of more than 100 alumni clubs and hundreds of volunteers worldwide. In this role, the Assistant Director will maintain a particular focus on Clubs programming and guiding the strategy for organizations in Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa, and Latin America.
The Assistant Director will play a critical role in facilitating and increasing alumni engagement with the School, through the global alumni clubs network. With a focus on growing scale and impact, the Assistant Director will drive the planning, content development, support and execution of all global clubs programming, including branding and marketing efforts. Directly responsible for the Faculty Series, Global Networking Night, and alumni New Venture Competition in addition to new program innovations. The Assistant Director will explore leveraging existing club programs across the global clubs network, e.g. CAP. The Assistant Director will support high profile alumni events, including the HBS Dean and Senior Associate Deans’ activities related to the clubs and to the HBS Capital Campaign, interacting directly with these senior faculty members in an advisory role.
As a member of the HBS Alumni Relations team, the Assistant Director will support reunions, conferences, events, and trainings, and will take on special projects as needed. The Assistant Director will collaborate effectively with other departments at HBS and Harvard University, representing Alumni Clubs and Associations to a wide variety of audiences.
