ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION, Sloan School of Management, to work with director and assistant director on monitoring the academic progress of Course 15 undergraduate majors and serve as part of the advising team for students, with faculty as primary advisors. Will serve as the Sloan advisor for secondary majors; answer questions and provide advice to MIT undergraduates regarding Sloan majors, minors, and courses; and design and implement a broad-based and comprehensive communication strategy to serve current Course 15 undergraduates and create awareness among MIT undergraduates about opportunities available at Sloan. Will also be responsible for the office's major communication vehicles, including print material, the undergraduate office website, and social media; planning and managing Undergraduate Office programs and events, including open house and information sessions, senior dinner, welcome back reception, community luncheons, MIT Family Weekend, and MIT Campus Preview Weekend; ensuring that events reflect and emphasize a welcoming and inclusive community; fostering and maintaining relations with central MIT offices and other MIT academic departments to keep current on initiatives that may benefit Sloan undergraduates; preparing and monitoring the office budget; working to develop, implement, and improve office initiatives; and performing other duties as needed. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: academic advising, marketing and communications, and event planning skills; meticulous attention to detail; strong interpersonal communication skills; highly developed writing ability; comfort with uncertainty and change; mentoring skills; ability to work within a team-oriented environment; and proficiency with Qualtrics, Drupal, and Illustrator.
