The Vice President (VP) of Network Development and Affiliations will be responsible for leading and managing BILH’s network of strategic affiliations and alliances.

    The VP of Network Development and Affiliations will act as the principal liaison and relationship manager between BILH system and business unit leadership and affiliate organization leadership to ensure progress against shared objectives. In collaboration with affiliates, the position will be responsible for defining, advancing, and measuring key strategic initiatives over a multi-year timeframe in areas such as joint program development, specialty and primary care recruitment and collaboration, regional planning, network-wide care coordination, access to tertiary and quaternary services, joint clinical research and graduate medical education, community investment, and co-branding/co-marketing.

    The VP of Network Development and Affiliations will serve a key senior management role within the BILH Office of Strategy, reporting directly to the BILH Chief Strategy Officer. The position will oversee a talented team of network development professionals, including approximately five direct and indirect reports.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Development and implementation of multi-year priorities, initiatives, and commitments associated with each partnership, in collaboration with BILH and affiliate leadership

  • Development of medical and surgical subspecialty service agreements—as well as primary care agreements—to meet partnership needs, working with Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians, Lahey Clinic physicians, and BILH Primary Care as appropriate

  • Deployment and coordination of health system infrastructure – including patient access, scheduling, electronic health record interoperability, and provider-to-provider communication—to ensure optimal service levels and access to hospital and ambulatory care for partner organizations

  • Oversight and leadership of multi-stakeholder regional planning tied to selected strategic affiliations

  • Negotiation and renewal of strategic affiliations

  • Work closely with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion – including Community Benefits, which oversees Community Health Center relationships – to ensure alignment of goals and progress toward health equity and community impact objectives.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, public health or related fields

    Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.

    Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • 10- 15 years of progressive leadership experience, with a successful track record in managing complex change initiatives in a healthcare environment required.

  • Excellent relationship management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to drive outcomes.

  • Successful track record of innovation and business development.
