Position Summary: SRA?s Advanced Materials Lab (AML) in Burlington, MA is seeking an expert in Advanced DFT modeling with a strong background in theoretical condensed matter (or materials) physics and atomistic simulation approaches at quantum mechanics level.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Analyze the current status of research in advanced materials to identify influential factors
Develop theoretical models and perform computations to study the physical phenomena and find relevant descriptor for advanced electronic materials
Contribute to the Samsung mission for nextgeneration materials and electronic device development.
Collaborate closely with colleagues at AML and in Korea, and with university partners.
Ph.D. in Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, Applied Physics or Materials Science.
A strong background in theoretical condensed matter (or materials) physics and atomistic simulation approaches at quantum mechanics level, such as Density Functional Theory and abinitio molecular dynamics.
Of particular interest are candidates with strong experience in electronic structures of inorganic materials especially oxides and/or twodimensional materials.
Selfmotivated with the ability to communicate clearly.
Knowledge and experience in data science and machine learning is a plus.
