Keurig Dr Pepper Senior Data Engineer in Burlington, Massachusetts
Keurig Dr Pepper is searching for a self-motivated and results-driven Data Engineer/Senior Data Engineer with excellent verbal communication skills to join our team. This position will support activities on the Data and Analytics team. This role will accountable for enforcing design standards, designing, coding and testing new complex innovative solutions using Snowflake database and Informatica Cloud (IICS).
Designs and develops programs and tools to support data ingestion, curation and provisioning of complex enterprise data to achieve analytics & reporting.
Using IICS and/or Qlik Replication, designs and builds data extracts, integrations and transformations.
Provides successful deployment and provisioning of data solutions to required environments.
Designs data models and builds data architecture and applications that enable reporting, analytics and data science.
Has a high accuracy rate and develops effective, defect free code.
Interacts with cross-functional customers and development team to gather and define requirements.
Develops understanding of the data and builds business acumen.
Reviews defects or discrepancies in requirements and resolves with stakeholders.
Mentors offshore team members as needed.
Identifies and recommends appropriate continuous improvement opportunities and ensures integrations are automated and have proper exception handling.
Bachelor or Master`s degree in technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Systems or other technical field.
Generally, 10+ years of professional Information Technology experience, with at least 5 years as a Data Engineer on a data and analytics team.
Advanced relational SQL experience and best practices.
Proficient in data modelling principles and tools such as ERWin.
Proficiency in one or more database platforms such as MS SQL, or AWS Redshift
Proficiency in Informatica required, Informatica Cloud (IICS) preferred.
Experience with data engineering technologies such as Unix scripting, Python, Spark, JSON and/or R, Jupyter notebooks and/or GCP native services desired.
Knowledge and ability to write, test, and debug application programming interfaces (APIs)
Experience working with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker.
Ability to understand and apply customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making design recommendations.Strong facilitation and consensus building skills. Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills. Ability to communicate by simplifying complexity.
Ability to provide work guidance to junior level developers.
Ability to provide guidance when agile team is not making desired progress.
Enjoys higher learning and keeps track of industry best practices and trends and through acquired knowledge, takes advantage of process and system improvement opportunities.
Be proactive requiring minimal supervision, be strong time management and work organization skills.
Have an ability prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks and at times meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Has worked on data quality improvement projects such as Master Data Management.
Preferred Qualifications - Not Required:
Can assemble large complex SAP data sets and has a strong understanding of SAP data tables and structures as well as ability to ingest data from external sources.
Experience with Snowflake desired.
Consumer Products industry knowledge desired. Desire to develop business acumen.
