Salesforce has immediate opportunities for extremely talented Distributed Systems Software Developers who want their lines of code to have significant and measurable positive impact for users, the company's bottom line and the industry. You will need deep experience with concurrency, large scale systems, proficiency with solving real-world data management challenges, a strong understanding of how to architect solutions that are highly available, and a proven ability to design, develop, and optimize the core back-end systems. This role will encompass architecture, design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build products right and release them with high quality.

Einstein Bots is an industry leading enterprise solution that enables companies to automate the resolution of commonly occurring customer service requests using the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This is done through a friendly conversational interface over text or speech. Bots are adept at handling simple/programmable tasks and there by allowing the service team to focus on complex customer issues. Customer service is a hotbed for new technology and innovation, and Gartner predicts that by 2021, 15% of all customer service interactions globally will be handled completely by AI, an increase of 400% from 2017.
We are growing rapidly and are looking for rock stars to help solve complex problems in this cutting edge space. The Einstein Bots team is looking for a technically strong, highly collaborative and accomplished Software Engineer to join our exceptional team of engineers. Lead end-to-end Architecture across cross-functional teams and bring the product/feature vision into reality through superior knowledge of the technology, product, and business goals.
Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with architects, product owners, engineers, user experience designers and data scientists
Build, scale and maintain critical features of the Enterprise Bot platform that are used by millions of users and hundreds of thousands of customer service agents.
Be a vocal advocate for technical excellence, secure software development (ssdl) and superior quality; help the team members make sound engineering decisions
Understand the customer/business requirements and translate them to elegant/flexible/easy-to-use platform capabilities. Actively work with Customer Support and Solution teams to handle customer inquiries and minimize escalations
Participate the long term product roadmap discussion, represent the product/platform in the architecture review boards, and advice product management team on the technical aspects of product strategy
Adopt, embrace, and promote agile and test-driven software development practices
Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation goals
Lead and mentor junior members of the team; Engage and motivate the team around a unified architecture vision
Be a multiplier; Have a passion for working together as a team and ensuring team members’ succeed
An excellent communicator who is comfortable with leading a white-board design discussion, meeting with customers under pressure, articulating the technical value proposition to non-technical audience, and presenting to senior management
Bachelors (or) Masters degree in Computer Science related STEM field or equivalent experience with strong competencies in algorithms, data structures and software design
12+ years of hands-on experience building, scaling and operating large scale, complex distributed systems and software applications in the B2B (or B2C) SaaS space used by millions of users
Deep understanding on Salesforce Core technology (UDD, APIs, Packaging, Core Security Model, etc..) by way of designing, developing and releasing several large scale initiatives built on Salesforce’s Core technology.
In-depth working knowledge of at least one object-oriented compiled, statically-typed language (Java, C++, etc)
Solid experience in API development, API lifecycle management and/or client SDKs development
Expert in Data model design, database technologies (RDBMS & NoSQL), and languages such as SQL and PL/SQL
Experience in test-driven development with focus on unit testing, integration testing and end-to-end automation
Solid understanding of SDLC, and best practices in design, development, testing, and deployment
Experience with Agile development methodologies, pair programming, continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
Ability to support/resolve production customer escalations with excellent debugging and problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self driven with superior organizational and project management skills. Ability to work effectively in a distributed team setting
Experience with Java/J2EE technologies such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate and EJB preferred
Experience with developer tools such as Git, Maven and Eclipse IDE
Working knowledge of building B2B or B2C SaaS applications using cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is desired
Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, etc. from data engineering perspective is a plus
Some Salesforce ecosystem and implementation knowledge (either as a developer or as admin) is nice to have
