SUMMARY

Provide a higher level of support in the area of equipment manufacturing and process development support (including machine repairs) on the Pixid manufacturing lines. Interface between manufacturing line, process engineering, and design engineering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Utilize product schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOP) to manufacture sub-assemblies and complete systems.

  • Serve as the hands on expert for the assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of supported Manufacturing Machines

  • Possess a good understanding of the use of metrology tools to facilitate critical alignments.

  • Perform numerous calibration and bring up processes to assess initial functionality of our systems.

  • Conduct in process testing of modules and components manufactured or purchased for use in equipment.

  • Escalate appropriate issues to leadership, and provide assistance as needed to accomplish repairs.

  • Interface with and assist the Engineering, Process and Software Engineering Groups to successfully achieve common goals and complete special projects.

  • Maintain continuous communication with the Production management and materials team on issues and findings with discrepancies in bills of materials and job kits.

  • When requested provide additional help in the diagnosis of machines and execute repairs within skill level.

  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.

  • Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.

  • Provide assistance and perform training as required to help onboard additional permanent or contingent workers

  • Assist in the documentation of assembly processes and procedures where needed.

  • Completes thorough and accurate time reporting for billable hours.

  • Report issues found with bills of materials and job kits as they are identified.

  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.

  • Adhere to best practices and safety standards to maintain highest level of safety.

  • Maintains a positive attitude, possess good interpersonal skills, and engages in collaboration with coworkers

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associate’s degree preferred; or minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, length, and volume. Comfortable working in both Imperial and Metric units of measure. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual may be required to sit, stand, lay under machines, or walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., to be accessible to production floor, attendance at meetings with indirect and direct team members, supervisors, management and customers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individual’s primary workstation is located in the manufacturing floor, with some time spent each day on the engineering labs as required. The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate.
