The Opportunity

Black & Veatch’s Global Advisory organization provides strategic and digital transformation consulting services to the power, energy, gas, and water sectors. We have an immediate need for a professional with functional / technical industry expertise and experience with Scheduling Work (Short Cycle & Long Cycle) and Mobile Field Services Management (FSM) and enhancing BV’s offerings & capabilities in these areas. As the Manager, Scheduling & Field Services , you will have the opportunity to contribute to the completion of multiple engagement phases, function in a lead role and manage the client engagement while developing, documenting, and implementing Scheduling and FSM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Gas & Electric Utility Scheduling & FSM transformation projects

• Utilize Scheduling & FSM knowledge to produce work products & solutions on system implementation projects

• Serve as Scheduling & FSM solutions architect

• Assist BV in enhancing existing offerings

• Collaborate with BV Teams to create new offerings

• Develop, present, and defend conclusions, recommendations, and implementation plans

• Manage client expectations within defined scope of engagement

• Recommend appropriate resources based on the phases of an engagement.

• Delegate and manage work to assigned team members

• Manage engagement issues in less complex projects or escalate issues in more complex projects

• Transfer capabilities, and skills to improve others’ knowledge and skill levels

• Enhance established working relationships with team members and management from within the client’s organization

• Contribute to quality review on own engagement

• Outline specific performance measures, targets, and goals to articulate the business case for realized efficiencies or added value

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the utility industry – one or more of the following domains

• Electric Generation/Transmission/Distribution

• Gas Transmission/Distribution

• Renewables

• Water & Wastewater

• Knowledge of Scheduling & Work Management processes (Work Lifecycle)

• Knowledge of one or more Work Scheduling tools – examples include Primavera, Unifier, KloudGin Scheduler, Hitachi Service Suite, CGI PragmaCAD

• Ability to communicate across organizational boundaries and organizational levels

• US-Based with ability to travel up to 50%

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience

• 7+ years experience in a business/consulting environment

Certifications

Certifications related to area of expertise, where applicable preferred.
