Job Summary

The Equipment Maintenance Advisor is the primary contact throughout the equipment repair process. This role requires the ability to clearly communicate with the Service Manager, Mechanics, Projects and 3rd Party vendors. This role will work closely with projects to ensure service and repairs are completed through maintaining detailed correspondence and documentation throughout the process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to creation of the work orders, warranty repairs, parts ordering, vendor setup, logistics, and other various duties to support equipment service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists in the repair and maintenance of equipment, reducing unscheduled repairs and increasing up time through PM compliance.

  • Prioritizes, monitors, and schedules machine repair & preventative maintenance for efficiency.

  • Communicates maintenance needs with the Service Manager, Mechanics and 3 party vendors.

  • Utilizes asset management systems, to assist with overall repair process.

  • Conducts daily work progress meetings with Service Department personnel to ensure focused andprioritized effort.

  • Validates all damage charges and provides thorough justification documentation to CEFS leadership andCoordinators for project review.

  • Assists Fleet Manager to ensure CVA compliance

  • Confirms Quality Control inspection and repairedequipment isready to be placed back into service.

  • Ensures service repairs align with schedules and communicates changes that may impact deliveries to key stakeholders.

Management Responsibilities

Acts in capacity of a "lead person." Does not have management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

  • Five years field experience with equipment and maintenance.

  • Two years’ customer service experience in the heavy equipment industry preferred.

  • Has a strong understanding of equipment and experience with field mechanical work.

  • Has experience in the field with a variety of different kinds of construction projects.

  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required.

  • Possesses the mechanical and technical skills necessary to perform the scope of work at a high-level.

  • Consistent attendance with ability to travel overnight on occasion.

  • Strong organizational, time management and communications skills.

Minimum Qualifications

1+ years relevant experience required. Some related open shop and/or union experience preferred. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
