As an experienced Hardware Development Manager within Oracle's Hardware Development team, you will lead a cross-disciplinary staff that is

responsible for developing system hardware for deployment within Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. In this position, you will be involved in all phases of the hardware development life-cycle, including creation of project plans, initial concepts and architectures, delivering functional specifications engaging with suppliers and external manufacturers, and managing prototype development and bring-up. You will be manage all aspects of server system design, working closely with mechanical, power, signal integrity, validation, and firmware engineers. In this role, you will work in fast paced environment with a team of highly skilled engineers. You will enjoy flexibility that allows you to balance your career and personal time while keeping at the leading edge of server technology and system designs.

Basic Qualifications

Prior PCBA and System hardware design experience

Experience as a technical lead managing small teams of engineers

Experience with EVT/DVT/PVT and NPI qualification. Prior experience driving improvements in manufacturing, cost and product test

Hiring and development of the engineering team and continuous improvement and implementation of best practices.

Partner with the broader Product Line Managers, Program Managers, mechanical, firmware and test teams to bring world-class systems to market.

Demonstrated cross-functional team leadership, working closely with the Product Management, Software development and External Partners

Develop and implement processes and methods to improve the productivity of the cross-functional team.

Develop and Manage design project schedules and milestones

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

Prepare and deliver updates to the Executive team

10 years experience with the design and bring up of complex PCBA’s and systems

5 years of management experience leading design teams

This position is responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory.

Works as part of an account team to identify, qualify and deliver Hardware products/ solutions. Responsible for the account plan to drive goal attainment in assigned territory. Coordinates with the other members of the sales team (employees and partners) to support account sales and business development strategies. Helps identify and engage the appropriate partner to meet customer specifications. Becomes trusted advisor to key customer influencers and decision makers. Drives company's strategy into assigned accounts. Follows all companies' methodologies and processes related to sales opportunity pursuit. Ensures that the company's sales programs are known and executed in assigned territory, including personal follow-up and engagement in selected opportunities. Achieves or exceeds the quarterly and annual sales goals. May travel frequently.

Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures. Typically graduate or equivalent with 0 - 2 year experience.

Serves as a liaison with customers/partners/vendors regarding design/product features, applications and/or new product introduction. May negotiate relationships with customers, vendors and partners.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of engineering or related experience.
