Job Description

The overall goal for having a Client Engagement functional lead is to foster deeper collaboration between Architecture and Development teams. Additionally this role will help to ensure consistency in our design approach, make sure we follow best practices, and help identify gaps in the overall solution. This role(Digital Principal Development Engineer II) will focus more on the overall solution being delivered, ensuring that the individual features can come together properly as designed. Think of this as a tech lead for the tech leads and engineering managers, where generally tech leads are primarily focused on the individual teams, this will primarily focus across teams.• Will have a solid understanding of the overall client solution (and roadmap), and how the individual features fit into that. Will guide teams accordingly to ensure a consistent approach.• Will work with / collaborate with teams to develop API consolidation roadmap and moving towards common reusable code base for Consumers and clients• Responsible for coordination of PI feature work across scrum teams as well as with Product Management and Architecture. • Must work with product, architecture, tech leads and engineering management to ensure that feature items are being delivered in alignment to roadmaps and runway definitions. • In the pre-planning process, responsible for reviewing features and epics with product team and providing feedback through continuous refinement. • Will additionally provide Collaboration/contribution with architecture on POCs, runway items and technical artifacts.• Help Onboard new teams and guide them with tech stack and knowledge transfer of the existing frameworks and implementations. • Help new tech leads until they get established with their teams and support them as needed.• Work closely with architecture and platform teams when introducing new tools and technologies into development and CI/CD practices.• Functional leads work/stories will be captured on a Kanban board. Engineering Management and Functional Leads are responsible for creating relevant stories on this board.• Work will be prioritized and tracked by Engineering Management and the Functional Lead based on capacity and priority of the work.Can work from any of the CVS digital office locations in the US or work from home /remote options available.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 120,000

Maximum: 265,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

10+ years’ experience in systems analysis and application program development• 3+ years’ experience in building Enterprise solutions and managing client requirements and technical solution• 5+ years of experience with the system development life cycle, systems, and application program development alternatives• At least 3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies. Possess a track record developing in GCP/Azure or similar public cloud environments• At least 3+ years of Experience with programming languages/tools including: Core Java, Java/J2EE Technologies, Big Data tools and technologies, Angular, No SQL (Apache Cassandra), cloud computing and IBM WebSphere Datapower SOA Solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control• Proven leadership experience setting strategic direction and influencing change that resulted in quantifiable positive outcomes• Prior experience with migrating legacy to modern tech stacks• Strong experience in Scrum/Agile and an interest in helping the team develop agreements and processes around that methodology and increase the velocity of the teams

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
