What You-ll Accomplish

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will manage and develop all aspects of the Chewy business plan, team development, internal integration and customer partnership. This position is based out of our corporate office located in Burlington, MA. As a key member of the commercial organization, you will play a leadership role in building Wellness Pet-s sales strategy integrating ecommerce into our channel mix and working at a strategic level to deliver targeted objectives and financial results in a manner that exemplifies our mission and philosophy.

Specific accountabilities of this role include:

  • Support in development and execution of an effective annual business plan with sound building blocks and clear objectives and incorporates a rigorous review plan which supports a test, learn and optimization process.

  • Work with marketing counterparts to execute the tactics which will drive new households, improve retention rate and facilitate category leading auto-ship rates.

  • Actively engage in assessment of the various tactics used in the ecommerce channel to achieve desired results and develop metrics to determine effectiveness. Collaborate/negotiate with the Chewy Team and adjust as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to review, assess and strategize the Chewy business results and plans on an ongoing basis.

  • In conjunction with other Sales and Marketing leads, coordinate and execute promotional, customer marketing and digital media plans to both drive revenue and build our brand equities in line with brand strategies.

  • Work with our customer marketing team to execute all programming, manage eCommerce marketing budgets, and measure all programs via ROI post-analyses.

  • Be responsible for the Chewy P&L; revenue and spend

  • Champion the business needs of Chewy and constantly communicate internally their needs, market opportunities and the dynamics of Chewy.

  • Develop key relationships within Chewy decision makers in all area-s needed to execute Wellness Pet-s strategy; develop and maintain high visibility with account key decision-makers and decision-influencers to advance brand opportunities, assist in the negotiation of the annual JBP plans and terms and agreements, drive new business opportunities, and solve challenges quickly by developing a deep understanding of their business goals and challenges and the solutions available.

  • Build effective working relationships with the members of the Wellness sales, marketing, supply chain, and other internal teams.

  • Leverage internal and external data supplied by eCommerce retailers and service providers to monitor and forecast business performance and activation.

  • Ensure go-to-market plans for new products are implemented with excellence.

  • Help lead ongoing MAP policy optimization and marketplace enforcement

    This position is ideally suited for a high-energy leader with sales and marketing experience selling a premium product in a CPG category. Specifically, you will need:

  • 10+ years of a successful track record in sales, marketing, trade marketing and/or customer marketing. Must have consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience.

  • Digital marketing strategy plan development, eCommerce analytics experience and knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital media.

  • Holds a Bachelor-s Degree in business management and/or marketing or has equivalent professional experience

  • Has managed a team and a key retailer in the ecommerce channel.

  • Able to travel 15-20% of their time

  • Proven track record managing a business in excess of $75M while building strong, diverse cross-functional teams and internal stakeholder networks.
