KEURIG BRAND

Keurig is hiring for the role of Sr. Manager, System Innovation in the Boston, MA area.

As a Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for a combination of innovation strategy and holistic initiative design. You will be responsible for leading ongoing identification of consumers’ unmet needs and related innovation opportunities within defined Growth Territories. This role will lead cross-functional teams to define, develop and consumer-validate holistic innovation concepts (beyond product-only innovation) with intuitive, “surprisingly obvious” solutions that resolve human tensions to drive pipeline sufficiency and for downstream execution.

This role will also focus on innovation strategy and portfolio strategy, building innovation capabilities, and deepening the organization’s culture of innovation.

This role of Sr. Manager will report into the Sr. Director, System Innovation.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Human Experience Innovation: Develop and validate holistic innovation - inclusive of naming, preliminary communication idea, key visual, claims strategy – to drive new users into the Keurig system. Create and present the business case for new products and projects to support innovation strategies. Collaborate with KDP strategy, consumer insights, brand marketing, and commercial teams to scope and create the holistic business case for prioritizing innovation investments.

  • Deliver Consumer Insights That Drive Action: Analyze insights, brand tracking data, sales information, projections, and other meaningful information to gain understanding of consumer, customer, channel, and competitive environment for the product or category. Work with Market Research to develop consumer insights through internal, external, primary and secondary data sources. Translate insights into actionable, consumer-driven product, market and commercial innovation ideas.

  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Deploy general manager mindset to drive business strategies and position Keurig for long-term success. Leverage deep consumer insights and financial acumen to deliver breakthrough innovation. Collaborate with Beverage Innovation, Consumer Insights, Product Management, Advanced Development R&D and Finance to deeply understand consumers’ unmet needs, translate consumer insights into system-level solutions and technical attributes, and assess program economics and pipeline sufficiency.

  • Strategy: Set the vision and define success for brand portfolio and innovation pipeline. Lead refresh of long-term innovation strategy and annual innovation plans. Drive organizational and customer engagement, alignment, and passion for innovation plans.

  • Business and Market Analysis: Analyze Keurig business results to identify opportunities for growth, define and ensure strategies are working, and objectives are being realized. Monitor the domestic and global marketplace for new product innovations, competitor actions, lifestyle trends, consumer and market trend insights, and emerging technologies.

  • Smart and Connected Experience: Experience with smart and connected product launches and ecosystems will be valued. Demonstrated ability to leverage data to drive business model, personalize connections, build relationships and drive loyalty.

  • Skills & Capability Development: Coach, develop and manage Associate Brand Managers and Marketing specialists. Develop objectives, provide coaching, feedback, and guidance, and develop personal development and training plans.

  • Champion Keurig Brand and Drive Alignment Across the Organization: Drive alignment behind brand vision and strategy with senior management and key commercial stakeholders. Responsible for consulting with cross-functional partners and driving alignment across the organization. Participate in key sales and marketing presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or related Master’s degree strongly preferred

  • Minimum 6 years of brand marketing/brand management experience with 3 years CPG/Beverage/Technology experience from a Fortune 500 CPG corporation is strongly preferred

  • Modern marketing capabilities, with depth in innovation

  • Experience in connected products and experiences and IOT will be highly valued
