Oracle Business Development Representative I in Burlington, Massachusetts

Responsible for the identification of relevant new business opportunities and designs "go-to-market" plan to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Pursues sales opportunities in the market, and carries the baton in the beginning of the sales cycle.

A Business Development Representative is assigned to strategic accounts which may be grouped by industry where Oracle has a limited presence. Acts as primary liaison between Consulting, Sales, and Oracle Development for the product's sales opportunities. Generates business opportunities through prospecting mass market programs and leveraging third party partners. Develops and coordinates a worldwide relationship with customers that establishes Oracle as a preferred vendor and optimizes Oracle's sales of product. Executes aggressive strategies and plans to successfully drive the product as the preferred customer selection. Provides account representatives with information on how the product addresses specific needs, and assists account representatives in using Oracle's products to leverage large revenue opportunities. Assists in articulating product message, coordinates technical resources and hands off deals to a successful close.

Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures. 0-2 years of sales , marketing, or business development experience preferred. Ability to work with and communicate effectively with multiple colleagues in a team selling environment. Business and account planning implementation experience. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel. BA/BS degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

As a Business Value Services team member you will support the sales organization to drive new customer acquisition and add-on business through delivery of collaborative cross pillar engagements and value assessments. These engagements are integration strategy typically lasting a few weeks. You will identify the customer’s current issue, address how we can solve those problems, and deliver a compelling case to senior executives that demonstrates how we can enable them to seek true business outcomes through Oracle solutions.

This highly visible role will enable a person to be a part of the selling account team, build expertise in consultative selling, and engage senior executives on their most pressing issues. In addition, this role will be from the start helping mature our growing critical function of Business Value Services Consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers and sales reps using a value assessment approach to build a compelling narrative that covers the current state, the desired future state, the value in closing the gap, and a delivery plan to ensure their success

  • Use business, technical, and financial analyses to understand the baseline and future state capabilities of the customer

  • Create and present the business case and the forecasted business impact the customer can achieve using Oracle solutions

Requirements

  • B.A. / B.S. from an accredited college; preference for Business Management, Economics, Finance or related degree

  • Enterprise business and financial modeling experience, familiarity with key financial metrics: ROI, TCO, NPV, IRR

  • Polished presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Inquisitive personality to facilitate interview sessions with clients and sales leaders, both business and technical stakeholders

  • Experience addressing executive and senior level stakeholders
