South Shore Meats Shipper/Receiver in Brockton, Massachusetts
Position Description/Minimum Qualifications * - Inspection of all inbound and outbound trucks/trailers to ensure they meet approved crite-ria related to temperature, cleanliness, security, and potential cross-contact with allergens or chemicals - Recording temperatures of trailers and products (both inbound and outbound) to ensure they are within safe, acceptable parameters - Picking and loading/unloading of pallets of finished products while ensuring order accuracy - Recording of all inbound items and their lot numbers as part of company traceability pro-gram (one step back) - Recording of all outbound items, catch weights, quantities, and their lot numbers as part of company traceability program (one step forward) - Implementation and enforcement of company First-In First-Out (FIFO) and stock rotation program. - Proper ID and segregation of allergen-containing ingredients per company allergen program - Ensure that all storage areas are clean and well-maintained - Must adhere to company GMPs, Personal Hygiene Practices, SSOPs, and other company policies - Perform weekly freezer inventory. Minimum Qualifications: - Keen attention to detail. - Prior shipping/receiving experience required - Must be able to lift 70lbs, stand for entire shift, and handle cold temperature (\<35 de-grees F) for extended periods of time - Lift Truck certification. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in food manufacturing. - Any HACCP and food safety credentials is a plus - Meat industry experience
