As our Distribution Supervisor, you are responsible for providing leadership to team members and the Bridgewater Distribution Center in support of achieving the goals and objectives of the 24-hour, global distribution center, which supports multiple operating company franchises and their service level agreements. You manage people, time, and tasks according to safety, quality and environmental compliance, operational budget, and operational calendar. Your role also is responsible for driving continuous improvement in productivity and quality, as well as supporting Lean and Process Excellence projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign shift work and ensure smooth shift overlap and transition.

  • Balance operational priorities across end-to-end process and cross-franchise view from replenishment to shipment.

  • Oversight of housekeeping, safety and quality.

  • Complete analysis for effective labor management.

  • Provide guidance, direction, development planning, and performance feedback on a regular basis to all team members, in accordance with J&J's Career Management Process, to ensure effective and productive work teams.

  • Proactively assess performance of assigned area, identify failures and root causes, and make improvements.

  • Participate in and lead programs to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility.

  • Lead and or participate in departmental/divisional projects as assigned.

  • Regularly communicate in all directions to keep associates, peers, and Management informed of project status, process changes, and opportunities.

  • Resolve conflicts in a constructive way by addressing all parties' needs, eventually bringing about a conclusive outcome.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum Associates or other 2-year degree (e.g., Vocational/Trade School degree) required; Bachelor’s degree or focused degree in Logistics, Business, or related field preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience in Distribution, Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred:

  • Proven people development and/or supervisory experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to effectively lead, resolve conflicts, and influence change

  • Work experience within a GMP, GXP, or other highly regulated environment

  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) knowledge; familiarity with multiple systems (e.g., MARC, PPG, JDE, PRMS/AS400, or SAP) is helpful

  • Process Excellence and/or Lean experience

  • Project management experience, FPX/PMP training, or certification

  • Knowledge of SOX requirements

  • Healthcare or Medical Device industry experience

Other:

  • Requires ability to work Split Shift (12:00am – 8:30pm) and the flexibility to provide coverage on weekends, after/before hours, and/or holiday work as needed
