Robert Half Senior Accountant in Braintree, Massachusetts
Description
We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Accountant for a local CPA firm in Braintree, Massachusetts. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing and assisting with audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in various industries. This role also entails maintaining client relationships and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct audits, reviews, and compilations for clients across diverse sectors
• Analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance
• Assist in coordinating day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up
• Prepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120-S, 1040, and 1041
• Follow up with clients on returns to be filed and financial statements to be issued
• Communicate effectively with clients to obtain necessary accounting and tax information
• Utilize knowledge of accounting software systems, such as CCH ProFX, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel, to perform tasks efficiently
• Monitor and manage client accounts, taking necessary actions as required
• Ensure all accounting functions and audit engagements are executed accurately and within deadlines
• Develop and implement audit plans as per client requirements and industry standards.
Requirements • Proven experience in Audit Senior roles within public sector environments
• Proficiency in using 3M and other accounting software systems for effective auditing
• Demonstrable experience in executing audit engagements and plans
• Proficient in CaseWare and CCH ProSystem Fx software for audit processing
• Familiarity with standard accounting functions and principles
• Ability to develop and implement audit programs
• Excellent knowledge of auditing practices and procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Relevant professional certifications such as CPA are advantageous.
