This position requires an individual to assume responsibilities for an industrial engineering position. Responsible for determining the most effective way to produce products or services. Design-to-Unit-Production-Cost experience is highly desired. Assigned responsibilities will encompass all aspects of program manufacturing support and associated tasks as assigned by management. Position requires hands on interaction with factory production personnel. The person will establish manufacturing metrics and be able to direct the successful completion of program assignments including reviewing products and processes for compliance to contract requirements and compliance to drawing requirements. The candidate must be a dependable individual who presents accurate data. He or she will interact with all departments through both written and verbal communication. The right candidate is collaborative, flexible, has a positive outlook and is willing to learn the industry.

Essential Functions

  • Estimate production costs

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Resolve production problems

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS

  • Support special projects as required

  • Ability to develop and write procedures

  • Evaluate effects of product design changes

  • Design layout of equipment and workspace

  • Ability to be trained to be an internal auditor

  • Eliminate wastefulness in production processes

  • Create Assembly Operations Procedures (work instructions) for product assembly

  • Take on assignments independently and in cross-functional teams

  • Study requirements, designs and information systems to meet requirements

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • B.S. in technical field (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing engineering) and 5+ years of experience or Associates degree in technical field and 10+ years of experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing/production operations

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens

Desired Skills:

  • Design to Unit Production Cost (DTUPC)

  • IPC 610 & IPC 620 certification a plus

  • Oracle – AGILE quality module

  • Knowledgeable in GD&T;

  • CAD Experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in teams with members from various disciplines.

  • Fluent in MS office, knowledge of Access database software a plus
