General Electric US Nuclear Sales Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

As the US Sales Manager, you will drive a coherent commercial strategy across the GE Healthcare Molecular Imaging US business and optimizes the use of resources to drive market potential. You will be responsible for defining a go-to-market strategy for the US current product portfolio as well as impending new product key launches, to achieve the operating plan, via both direct and indirect channels.

Acts as an escalation for customers, strategic liaison to distribution partners, and represents One GEHC for multi-product projects and cross-P&L business events. Has direct management responsibilities of minimum of six commercial team members.

This role can be located anywhere within the United States.

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDxproducts support three patients every second around the world.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Financially accountable to achieve the quarterly and yearly Operating Plan for relevant GEHC Portfolio in geographical area (ie. orders, sales, and contribution margin, base costs, operating margin, cash where applicable, timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline per products and sales, etc.), together with, customer satisfaction & retention

  • In conjunction with relevant regional marketing/product and regional sales force effectiveness resources, determine the market potential for the US, prioritize the portfolio opportunities, and develop and execute go-to-market strategy

  • Attract, retain, educate and develop world-class commercial talent and set appropriate operating plan targets; drive performance management within the team, providing a regular operating mechanism of feedback, coaching (including in field) and managing the appraisal system

  • New product launch experience a plus – establishing go-to-market plans, understanding complex competitive environments and working cross functionally with global product teams

  • Drive optimal operating mechanisms to monitor and track progress of opportunities in the pipeline, deliver on fulfillment targets and order backlog commitments as well as forecasting performance against operating plan

  • Know Key Opinion Leaders in care areas; manage professional relations with key customers, academia government and administrative bodies in order to deepen understanding of customer challenges and needs. Nurture relationship with professional society stakeholders within geographical area

  • Understand and analyze market dynamics and competition to develop business opportunities for the field team; provide continuous input and contribute to the formulation of yearly business planning processes as well as long-term strategy for the business.

  • Ensure and validate up to date knowledge of GEHC Disease and Care Area Solutions, Products, Services and other solutions positioning and differentiation messages within their teams

  • Travel extensively throughout the US (some overnight travel required) to serve our customers, coach our team, and pulse the market. This position involves 50% - 70% travel across states in the United States.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Business Management or Sales / Marketing OR equivalent in progressive leadership positions within the Healthcare industry
