This is what you will do:

The US aHUS Marketing Intern is a valuable member of the commercial brand team and will play a critical role in developing and driving strategy, tactics, and operational excellence. This individual will report to the Sr. Director, US aHUS Marketing . This individual will participate in strategy development, annual tactical plan creation, and go-to-market model refinement.

You will be responsible for:

  • Participating in the aHUS annual Brand Plan that defines the strategy for the indication including strategy workshops and Brand Plan presentation to Senior Leadership

  • Development of the tactics for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including identification of the most impactful tactics to continue, stop, and start in 2023

  • Identifying best practices across Alexion and externally for innovative tactics that will support aHUS Strategy and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of these tactics

  • Gathering best practices for go-to-market model across Alexion therapeutic areas and externally, developing recommendations for go-to-market model refinement, and presenting these recommendations to Senior Leadership

  • Developing of a new operating model for field and marketing collaboration as part of the Field Engagement Team and other forums

  • Collaborating with aHUS Marketing team, cross-functional partners, creative agency to deliver on the above

    You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree, in pursuit of MBA

  • Working knowledge of marketing principles, including key principles of brand management

  • Experience in secondary market research, ability to synthesize findings, and present recommendations

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects across functional areas, and work independently when appropriate, in teams and as a sub-team lead

  • Experience in working cross-functionally with large teams including external partners

  • High level of interpersonal skills and highly adept in both verbal & written communication

  • High level of proficiency in MS Office software including: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment.     We would prefer for you to have:

  • Science or business undergraduate degree

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience or consumer marketing experience

  • Consulting or strategy experience

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong scientific orientation and background
