Keurig Dr Pepper Testing Technician III in Boston, Massachusetts
The Test Technician III is responsible for performing appliance tests related to KDRP Tech Services. Testing includes brewer performance testing and other specified brewing system test rigs, components and PCBA evaluations.
The Test Technician works under the supervision of the Tech Services Supervisor and is expected to report all relevant test observations, test abnormalities and record data to be used for product performance analysis.
This position requires an individual possessing strong initiative, a proactive approach, keen attention to detail, and excellent problem solving/trouble-shooting skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform brewer and component testing protocols in support of brewer product development and continuous improvement programs.
Record and organize quality data. Report results to management.
Provide training as required for new permanent and temporary personnel utilizing proper brewer techniques, test procedures and methods, as well as data recording requirements
Ability to troubleshoot brewer performance issues and correlate abnormal behavior with potential root causes.
Other Necessary Functions:
Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by KDRP and the test lab
Performs other duties as requested by management
Associate’s Degree in Mechanical and or Electrical Engineering. Certification plus equivalent work experience with soldering, assembly, troubleshooting and other skills typically learned in a technical program
7+ years’ experience in a product service and/or manufacturing test environment preferred
Experience with electromechanical products containing electronic, mechanical, and fluid control components
MS Office suite
Quality background in inspection plans, tests protocols, root cause analysis and data recording
Experience with standard laboratory test and measurement instruments
Computer skills and analytical ability in the use of spreadsheet and database software strongly preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well with coworkers and company management
Strong organizational skills and an ability to communicate in a concise and focused manner.
Ability to uphold safety standards, participate in continuous process improvement on the job, Lean 6S and follow our manufacturing/quality best practices.
Ability to follow KDRP/Lab policies and procedures as well as our operating principles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Predominately sedentary light lab testing position; occasional need to lift up to 50 pounds.
