As a Technology Product Manager , you’ll be instrumental in managing and expanding our product capabilities.
This role will work cross-functionally to implement product strategy and ensure successful delivery of key initiatives. This Product Manager should have deep empathy for their user and be their voice internally. They will provide product direction and rally teams on the highest priority problems to solve with an focus on business growth and delighting users.
LOCATION: Waltham, MA or Remote (Working hours will be primarily in Eastern Time zone)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Help execute product strategy focused on expanding product reach, supporting global user audience, and evolving to meet changing clinician needs.
Understand the user pain points, identify gaps in solutions, define requirements, validate product requirements by working with key project stakeholders and the users.
Be the “Product Owner” in the Agile software development process, write user stories with acceptance criteria, accept stories.
Act as a subject matter expert to cross-functional teams in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
Manage an effective backlog, prioritize & groom the backlog for both enhancements and defects.
Define KPIs and reporting requirements for product features, track usage, understand adoption patterns, make product enhancement recommendations based on this understanding.
Be tech savvy, can understand questions, concerns from Engineering teams & make timely product decisions.
Support market launch activities such as write release notes, train internal teams like customer support teams & market facing teams.
Work across multiple teams including engineering, UX, search, analytics, content development, and business system teams
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant equivalent experience
Required Experience
3 - 5 years of Product Management experience in Agile software development
Understanding of software development principles, lifecycle and user-centric design
Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, time management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Curious, creative, inquisitive, takes initiative
Passion for building great products, identifying, and solving problems.
Preferred Experience:
Working within a Lean Product Development methodology.
Healthcare experience, particularly working on products focused on providers.
Experience working on SaaS based solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or related discipline
Experience working with software development teams.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Requires in-depth, conceptual, and practical knowledge of theories, principles and concepts and applies general knowledge of business and industry practices within technology product management.
Understands key business drivers and builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers.
Under a limited level of guidance, responsible for solving moderately complex problems following established policies and procedures.
Responsible for product management and execution of growth plans for a technology product, product family or segment.
Contributes to and improves technology products through compiling and evaluating research on online/digital product requirements, identifies enhancements to current features and functionality based on expertise in both marketing/product management and online/digital media.
Interfaces with engineers, designers, suppliers and customers to develop online/digital media product requirements and specifications.
Uses developed analytical skills to contribute to various aspects of the line of business in support of the organization’s goals and market needs which may include marketing strategies, marketing programs and tools, competitive analyses, market assessment, and product planning.
Plans own work, and adjusts efforts to meet goals.
Supports the achievement of goals through own personal efforts.
