SMX is seeking a Technical Project Manager that will be responsible for gathering and documenting project requirements as well as delivering projects on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will have solid analytical skills and strong interpersonal skills, with a background in business analytics, project management, and technical knowledge (cloud infrastructure). They should have experience managing data-related projects within the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile methodology is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversight of project delivery for the SMX client. Managing and assigning tasks in Jira, facilitating daily scrum, reporting to customer (both written and verbal reports), and responsibility of project delivery within established timelines.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 2 + years’ technical (infrastructure and serverless) project management experience with exposure to Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)

  • 2 + years’ experience with a team managing automated infrastructure through CI/CD Pipelines

  • 2 + years' experience developing, managing, and documenting project requirements

  • 2 + years' experience managing day-to-day interactions with cross-functional team

  • 2 + years' experience with managing the Development Project Lifecycle (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation

  • Strong Customer Service focus and/or background with the ability to establish and maintain client relationships at all levels (Must have experience managing C Level relationships)

  • Ability to serve as a resource manager, providing professional guidance and career path development

  • Ability to monitor progress and identify roadblocks, with a proven track record of delivering IT projects on time and within budget

  • Ability to maintain and track burn reports and reconcile hours worked with cost per resource.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Strong project management skills, including management of scope, schedule, and risks mitigation

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams)

  • Project Management tools experience (specifically Jira, MS Project, etc.)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills along with time management, problem solving, leadership, and adaptability
