RedHat Technical Marketing Manager, Financial Services in Boston, Massachusetts

The Red Hat Financial Services Product Marketing team is looking for a Technical Marketing Manager to join us ideally in Boston, MA. In this role, you'll guide the technical marketing agenda within our global go-to-market plan for Financial Services. You will work closely with engineering, product management, industry marketing, engineering, and solution design consultants and our technical field community to craft the proper technical proof points and content that highlights our financial services-related offerings. You'll also support a compelling marketing plan to guide success within the financial services sector globally. As a Technical Marketing Manager, you'll help define and build technical materials in support of the team marketing plan and content in support of our sales strategies that target the top financial services global system integrators (GSIs), independent software vendors (ISVs), and other partners globally as appropriate.
Primary job responsibilities
Collaborate with product management to understand and prioritize feature and solution definition
Ensure marketing plans align with market directions and support the product roadmap and releases
Participate in technical aspects of go-to-market engagements like roadshows, workshops, webinars, product and solution demos, and industry and partner events
Guide engagement where required in high-touch accounts worldwide by close engagement with field sales and services
Jointly create technical marketing collateral with marketing teams, including technical presentations, whitepapers, how to guides, and case studies
Create and carry out solution demos and market accelerators for use externally
Guide the creation of innovative technical content and creative thinking approach
Work with alliance and ecosystem partners to develop joint value propositions
Create other technical marketing proof points specific to performance benchmarks, reference architectures, etc.
Maintain GitHub repository of financial services industry (FSI) related assets
Collaborate with other teams to create technical marketing proof points specific to performance benchmarks and reference architectures
10-15 years of software industry experience, preferably within an area of infrastructure and middleware
5+ years of product management experience, solutions engineering, or solutions architecture experience
3+ years of experience within the FSI sector like retail, corporate, capital markets, or insurance, including experience with service provider solutions
Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science; master's degree is a plus
Knowledge of and experience with relevant industry technologies like FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry, and D+H
Some exposure to and participation in relevant industry bodies like the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), FinOS, Banking Industry Architecture Network e.V. (BIAN), etc.
Domain knowledge and experience with open source projects
Proven record of success in a fast moving, technical environment
Ability to articulate the technical product value proposition and promote product internally and externally
Technical knowledge and the ability to explain customer requirements and use cases to engineering teams
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English
Solid technical knowledge; ability to explain customer requirements and use cases to engineering teams
Success in working in an impactful cross-functional environment
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at once while working in a highly complex environment
Engaged and motivated with a solid work ethic
Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams
Willingness to travel 20-40%
