Considerations will also be made for candidates to sit remotely in North America or EMEA (Europe /Middle East/ Africa), preferably near a J&J facility. If located remotely, travel to DePuy Synthes locations for business critical meetings will also be expected.

The Technical Demonstration Manager, Robotic Systems will be a key supporting role in the team on the forefront of digital and robotic technology for the orthopedic medical device industry. This role will be on the front lines of demonstrating the robotics system to the orthopaedic surgeons and clinical staff, participating in internal and external industry events, and assisting with training key stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong collaborator that takes the time to understand the key stakeholders, the technical aspects of the system, reasonings and rationale driving system design features, and product differentiation compared to competitive systems. They will have a relentless and extraordinary attention to every detail of the project. Finally, they will have communication and collaboration skills that allows them to be the face of the R&D team when demonstrating the system around the globe.
The Technical Demonstration Manager, Robotic Systems will:
Attend all major domestic and international internal and external industry events to demonstrate the surgical robotics system and learn about technical advances in the robotics field.
Guide surgeons and others in how the system works, explaining key features and differentiation from competitors.
Work in close collaboration with R&D, marketing and clinical to prioritize events and type of presence required.
Partner with R&D management and individual contributors to bring market feedback to the engineering team.
Work with cross functional team members to drive project activities, key deliverables, timelines, providing follow up on action items to ensure on-time, on-scope execution and completion of development timelines.
Work closely cross functional leadership and individual teams on key documentation where stakeholder feedback is needed.
Prepare and distribute agendas, meetings minutes and action items.
Show independent leadership of teams in dynamic environment.
Possess a deep understanding of medical device R&D processes over the product life cycle, from discovery to post market surveillance.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required. Engineering degree is preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including full cycle project management experience is required.
Experience in engineering, as well as in sales, marketing, service or another customer facing field is highly preferred.
Experience with hardware and software medical devices preferred.
Experience with required regulations for 510K and CE mark preferred.
Project Management certificate preferred.
Excellence with Microsoft project and/or other project management tools required.
The preferred locations for this position are Warsaw, IN; Raynham, MA; Providence, RI or Boston, MA. Considerations will also be made for candidates to sit remotely in North America or EMEA (Europe /Middle East/ Africa), preferably near a J&J facility. If located remotely, travel to DePuy Synthes locations for business critical meetings will also be expected. This position may require up to 50% travel depending on business needs.
