As a Communications Manager, you will help develop and execute innovative internal communications strategies to help guide the talent journey for professionals in our U.S. Tax business while building and protecting the firm s brand and reputation, positioning the firm as a thought leader, and ensuring consistent messaging.
Work you ll do
Work with Tax senior leadership to identify key Talent initiatives and milestones where strategic internal communications support can produce the greatest impact
Collaborate with national Talent internal communications professionals to develop and align Tax specific Talent messaging with national Talent objectives and programs
Participate in messaging and strategy sessions with subject matter experts, providing input on creative assets to develop internal communication plans
Conceptualize, write, and edit high-quality internal communications assets including articles, web copy, emails, invitations, scripts, social media, and other collateral
Serve as a trusted advisor and provide strategic counsel to Tax senior leadership for firm-related internal communications channels, engagement approaches, and cutting-edge technologies
Employ strong project management skills and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high quality results
Understand and apply communications measurement to understand impact of internal communications efforts and contribution to Tax communications efforts
Manage and work with more junior members of the team, to ensure successful results, and help them develop the skills necessary to reach the next level in their career

The team brings together creative and technology skills, business insights, and industry best practices to develop creative assets that inspire and engage our professionals. It also executes with agility and measurable performance through best-of-breed solutions, centralization of key information and operations, and optimization of data, tools, people and process. From concept to execution, we help our leaders reach their audience and achieve a consistent standard of excellence using proven communication methodologies.
8-12 years of writing/editing/proofreading experience in corporate communications, journalism, publishing, public relations, marketing or related field. Writing sample required.
Preferred location: flexible
Collaborative working style to build relationships with multiple business communication, marketing, and technology teams.
Strong executive presence, professional client service manner, and ability to interact with all levels of management.
Proven ability to interact and communicate across variety of stakeholder groups and present complex information in easily understandable format tailored to each audience.
Comfortable with digital and social communications platforms.
Team-oriented approach with ability to take initiative, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet client expectations and deadlines across multiple projects.
Able to independently manage workload, knowing when to escalate challenges appropriately.
Ability to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual team; experience in large, corporate setting, and/or professional services firm, a plus.
Excellent editing and/or copy editing and proofreading skills; knowledge of editorial style.
Conceptual, creative thinker with a passion for writing, storytelling, and the willingness to learn from others.
Strong project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Bachelor s degree in Communications, English, or related field.
Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. HTML skills a plus.
