How will you make an impact?

The Strategic Account Leader owns the global relationship between assigned global strategic customers and Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Life Sciences & Laboratory Products Group (LSLPG). He/she will create the overall partnership advancement strategy, and interface with the divisional Commercial teams to develop and execute growth initiatives. He/she will develop relationships at the senior level (C-V-D level Titles), within select customers to plan and execute a strategy designed to capture share of spend and develop solutions which enable our customers to solve their greatest challenges.

The Strategic Account Leader will position LSLPG’s entire portfolio of products & services, as well as position LSLPG in the perspective of the whole value proposition offered by Thermo Fisher Scientific in alignment with the Corporate Account Executives.

What will you do?

  • Create overall partnership advancement strategy incorporating LSLPG divisional teams input and focusing on developing solutions to enable customers to solve their greatest challenges.

  • Manage the interface between the customer, LSLPG and its businesses. Conduct regular business updates to key stakeholders within the customer and within Thermo Fisher and LSLPG

  • Own your results including umbrella financial objectives and compliance metrics.

  • Develop strong relationships with LSLPG Account Management Team, Sciences Key Opinion Leaders, Procurement, and other influential contacts in order to ensure mutually beneficial business results for LSLPG and the customer.

  • Utilize knowledge of industry trends and LSLPG’s portfolio of products and services to establish targeted customer solutions to maximize share of spend

  • Ensure our organization structure and focus (direct and indirect) supports customer strategy. Accountable for influencing internal divisional stakeholders to generate end customer value and, holding customer accountable to delivering upon their commitments to LSLPG.

  • Deliver upon assigned revenue targets on a quarterly and annual basis.

  • Identify specific growth initiatives, gain customer buy-in, and drive local execution across all LSLPG sales teams.

  • Travel requirement for this role is 30- 50%, Domestic and European

How will you get here?

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, a Life Sciences discipline is preferred, a minimum of 5 years of experience and a high school diploma is required.

Experience

  • 5 years of research and/or sales experience in a scientific-related market

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • Proven ability to strategize and achieve results

Knowledge and Skills

  • Relevant scientific background

  • Relevant Biopharma or Biotech customer and/or market knowledge

  • Computer proficiency (ex. MS Office)
