Responsibilities

Our stakeholder engagement and communications consultants work directly with our clients to support their most important outreach and communications functions. In this role you will work with the client and Guidehouse team to develop strategic communications that are targeted towards a national industry and the public. In this role, you will be expected to: own the development and the quality of communications work products that are client ready, work with the team to establish and manage deadlines, and directly manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, draft, and develop communication products such as newsletters on behalf of a federal client

  • Create graphics to effectively communicate with external stakeholders on behalf of a federal client

  • Work with federal client and team members to develop and manage a clear communications strategy and communications plans

  • Develop talking points for federal executives for conferences, webinars, and promotional videos

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university

  • 3+ total years professional working experience excluding internships, co-ops, and fellowship/academia research

  • Total experience must include 1+ years in communications or consulting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Proficiency in Adobe Pro

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Publisher

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • No sponsorship available for this position

  • Ability to work onsite at the Department of Transportation (DOT) in Washington, DC when Covid restrictions are removed

  • Due to our contractual requirements, to be eligible for this role, you must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated at time of hire

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college/university

  • 1+ years of experience in federal government consulting

  • Experience in the transportation industry

  • Graphic design experience

  • Speechwriting experience

  • Ability to meet the requirements for and be issued a Public Trust

Additional Requirements

  • The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.

  • Due to our contractual requirements the position for which you are applying requires that you provide proof of your vaccination status.
