General Electric Staff UX Interaction Designer in Boston, Massachusetts
GE Healthcare Digital is seeking a Staff UX Interaction Designer with a focus on data visualizations, platform personas & workflows, contextual data and analytics to work on AI & deep learning products for healthcare diagnostics and delivery. You will help create a scalable, delightful, and intuitive deep learning platform & also design how AI can be delivered back into healthcare products in a manner that enhances existing clinician workflows. In this role, you will:
First and foremost, consider yourself a UX lead for software rather than a data analyst
Combine demonstrated creativity and refined knowledge of visual design and communications with very strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving approaches that align all product and design problems back the user’s goals and needs
Lead and influence strategy, product and business discussions relative to UX, AI, data visualizations and intuitive platform workflows
Demonstrate strong understanding of platform user experiences, and how to design a scalable platform that supports many different persona types
Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of Agile / Lean UX methodologies, continuous delivery, and data manipulation processes and the data analysis domain (ETL, DW, data lake, NoSQL vs. SQL, ‘Big Data’, etc.)
Be fluent in use of a visual design system and its applications in data-intensive software
Guide effective documentation and communication of UX and visual design of any projects - via personas, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes at low and high fidelity, workflows, user stories, and test dashboards and visualizations
Demonstrate mastery of the end-end UX process, including quantitative and qualitative user research for discovery and product definition, multiple forms of formal and informal user testing, and usability evaluations
Be a passionate advocate for user research and testing as part of your iterative UX process
Lead external benchmarking research and evaluation of emerging design, technology, industry, and market trends related to AI and analytics
Preferably, have some knowledge of front-end development frameworks and software languages and techniques used for data manipulation
Be a mechanism for team and customer collaboration and facilitation. Work very closely with customers as well as both product and engineering leads to define, ideate and test approaches and solutions.

Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction, Graphic, or Industrial Design preferred or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) AND A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in product or service design OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in product or service design OR High School degree with 14 years of experience in product or service designEligibility Requirements:

Conducts user research to understand user needs, mental models and working contexts
Synthesizes output of stakeholder research & creates visualizations that effectively summarize key insights related to user and customer needs and behaviors, product definition.
Creates annotated prototypes or wireframes of user interface designs that visually and textually communicate the behavior of a software application.
Skilled in standard design & wireframing tools (Adobe CC, OmniGraffle, Sketch), hand drawing and visual communication, time-based and interactive prototyping tools (Hype, Adobe Edge, Keynote).Business Acumen:
