<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We’re looking for an experienced Machine Learning Leader to drive the vision for a new area of model development in the Notifications Marketing space, operationalizing and scaling Machine Learning models and/or Reinforcement Learning systems to drive marketing decisions for Email and Push notifications. We’re looking for someone who not only enjoys writing code and seeing their ideas come to fruition on a global scale, but is also able to coach and upskill the data scientists, engineers, and marketers around them through leading by example.</span></p>

<p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drive the vision for a new area of machine learning work with an ambitious charter</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Architect and develop end-to-end Machine Learning models/Reinforcement learning systems, working collaboratively with your team and cross-functional partners to build scalable solutions</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Partner with marketers to understand pain points and translate them into clear and robust data science solutions</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Build and own execution of a technical roadmap, ensuring that the vision aligns with broader company objectives</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Help grow the team through mentorship and developing learning opportunities</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Promote a culture of data science excellence and strengthen the technical expertise of our data science, engineering, and marketing teams</span></li>

<p><strong>What you’ll need</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">5+ years of experience working as a professional data scientist or ML engineer, including autonomously designing and building production models and algorithmic decision-making systems at scale</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">2+ years of experience </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">mentoring and developing data scientists, analysts, or engineers</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hands-on experience developing and deploying ML models, data pipelines, and running experiments to validate your models</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience driving teams forward and ability to influence technical decisions to line up with the company’s strategy</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Nice-to-haves:</span></li>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Airflow, and containerization (Docker)</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience using Contextual Multi-armed Bandits, or Reinforcement Learning in an applied setting</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in a quantitative field</span></li>
