Amazon Web Services Sr Strategic Alliance Manager - North America Region, AI/ML Service Acceleration Team - AWS Partner Organization in Boston, Massachusetts


Job summary

Are you energized to create new markets for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL) technology? Do you love building new businesses? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a world class partner development specialist to grow the AWS AI/ML service portfolio through consulting (SI/GSI) and technology (ISV) partners in North America. You will have the exciting opportunity to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that enable partners to build solutions, offerings, and integrations that help customers solve business challenges leveraging AWS’ full AI/ML stack.

Activities include leading joint get-to-market and go-to-market plans, developing regionally focused initiatives to enable partners at scale, engaging in customer opportunities, and influence product roadmaps. You will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth and overall market adoption of partner solutions by establishing and growing business and technical relationships while managing day-to-day partner interactions.

You will work with a range of stakeholders within partner organizations- from executives at some of largest consulting organizations in the world, to CEOs/CPOs of groundbreaking machine learning and artificial intelligence startups. Additionally, the NAMER AI/ML PDS will drive alignment across AWS internal stakeholders including partner management, specialist sales leadership, service aligned partner development specialists, and the broader AWS Partner Organization Programs.

The AWS AI/ML services portfolio includes Amazon Sagemaker, and 20+ AI services including Amazon Textract, Amazon Rekognition, and Amazon Kendra.

Key job responsibilities

• Build and execute scalable mechanisms to grow the Amazon AI/ML portfolio of services through consulting partners including practice development, offering/solution development, enablement, and funding programs.

• Develop an ecosystem of technology partners that integrate with Amazon’s AI/ML portfolio of services and develop scalable initiatives to go-to-market and co-sell with these partners.

• Drive partner revenue through regular pipeline, opportunity registration, and business reviews with partners and AWS teams to exceed annual goals.

• Engage with field sales organizations, channels, and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS

• Promote the value of partners internally throughout AWS and externally with customers


• 7+ years of business development, sales, or alliance management experience in the software/technology industry

• 3+ years of experience working in machine learning, analytics, or data-related business categories

• Demonstrated ability to exceed sales, business development, or alliance management goals against annual growth targets

• Experience engaging and influencing senior executives and strong familiarity with decision making processes in enterprise customers

• Demonstrated experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders and driving strategic plans across various teams including solution architecture, product management, partner management, and account management teams

• Demonstrated experience defining business goals and developing and executing go-to-market plans that exceed goals.


• 10+ years of sales, business development, or alliance management experience in the software/technology industry

• 5+ years of experience in the machine learning or analytics category

• BS or MS degree in technical field

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $176,100 - $238,200 per year; however,

base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and

experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of

the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or

other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided

per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market
