With Confluent, organizations can harness the full power of continuously flowing data to innovate and win in the modern digital world. We have a purpose that drives us to do better every day – we're creating an entirely new category within data infrastructure - data streaming. This technology will allow every organization to create experiences and use the power of data in ways that profoundly impact the way we all live. This impact is our purpose and drives us to do better every day.
One Confluent. One team. One Data Streaming Platform.
Data Connects Us.
About the Role:
As a Senior Product Manager on the Growth team focusing on Production Acceleration, you'll drive how customers move from initial evaluation to production usage of Confluent's industry-leading data streaming platform.
Our investment in PLG has helped make Confluent one of the fastest-growing enterprise companies in the world, and we're just getting started. Our mission is to help technical users easily evaluate our products, enable enterprises to solve their biggest data challenges, and remove friction in the journey from initial adoption to organization-wide deployment.
You'll be joining a world-class B2B Growth team led by veterans who built the PLG playbook, including our CPO who established one of the industry's first B2B Growth practices. You'll work with a team of Growth engineers, designers, and data scientists to identify, build, and optimize features that remove friction in evaluation and accelerate revenue growth.
Success in this role requires deep technical empathy for developers and operators, combined with understanding of B2B enterprise buying patterns and adoption cycles. You'll need executive presence to influence key stakeholders and drive organizational alignment around your production acceleration initiatives. Your work will directly impact how organizations - from startups to Fortune 500 companies - scale their usage of our real-time data streaming products from proof-of-concept to mission-critical production systems.
What You Will Do:
Own product strategy & metrics for critical customer journeys post-activation; directly helping organizations go from initial evaluation to production
Talk to hundreds of customers & coordinate among PMs & SEs to identify top technical friction points & barriers preventing customers from scaling their usage from proof-of-concept to production
Partner with go-to-market leadership to build and optimize product-led sales motions that accelerate revenue growth, developing deep understanding of adoption cycles and technical buying patterns
Build and validate growth loops that connect initial product success to expanded production usage
Collaborate across engineering, design, solutions engineering, and sales to execute production acceleration initiatives
What You Will Bring:
4+ years of product management experience (or equivalent combination of technical roles and advanced degree) with complex technical products in a B2B context
Understanding of adoption patterns and the journey from proof-of-concept for a developer to wide-spread production deployment for an operator
Experience bridging product decisions with go-to-market motions to drive meaningful business outcomes
Demonstrated ability to influence and align diverse & senior stakeholders including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and executive leadership
Strong quantitative decision-making skills, with proficiency in data analysis (e.g., SQL)
Ability to build relationships with co-workers and customers located around the world
Past experience in the data space (e.g., databases, data platforms, streaming) and/or working in Growth are a plus
